February 2007 - Fletcher Allen Medical Plan Subscribers receive new and improved member Identification cards.
Vermont Managed Care is pleased to provide new and enhanced medial plan identification card(s) (ID card) for you and your covered dependents. The new ID card has been reformatted to include as many as five family members on one card. This eliminates the need for every member under your policy to have his/her own ID card. If you carry an individual policy, we've enclosed one ID card. If you have one or more dependents you'll find two sets of ID cards enclosed. If you would like additional ID cards, please call VMC Customer Service at 847-4862 or toll-free at 1-866-582-6836 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.

Please make sure you show your ID card to your provider each time you seek medical care. It is important that your doctor has this information for insurance billing purposes.

The card also contains important information on using your medical benefits. Please review your ID card to confirm the accuracy of the medical plan you have chosen and to verify your personal data. Information about using your medical benefits is provided on the back of the card. Please take the time to review both side of the card.

October 2006 - Two errors discovered in the revised Preferred Plan Summary Plan Document (SPD) recently mailed to members.
Two errors were discovered in the recently revised and distributed Preferred Plan Summary Plan Document (SPD).
The errors were found on page 3 of the Medical Plan Highlights Grid as follows:

1) Under "Emergency Services" "Coinsurance for Ambulance - Emergency" should state "N/A" (not $25).
2) Under "Urgent Care Center or Walk-In Care Center" Co-payment should state "$25" (not N/A).

Please accept our apology for this misinformation and any confusion it may cause.
Amendments to the SPD with the correct information will be mailed out to all Preferred Plan members.
The SPD listed on the home page has been corrected and is accurate.

January 2006 - Two changes to Fletcher Allen Preferred Plan benefits implemented.

Co-pay for PT/OT/ST - The co-pays for physical, occupational and speech therapy will decrease from the current $25 to $10 for participants who use a Fletcher Allen Health Care PT/OT/ST provider. If a participant sees a non-Fletcher Allen provider the co-pay remains $25.

Co-pay for Fletcher Allen Health Care Walk in Care Center (WICC) - The co-pay for services rendered at the FAHC WICC will increase from $10 to $25 to coincide with the charges for other urgent care facilities.
